Nearly 100 brides from across several states claim a Metro Detroit mobile bartending service, Sip of Eden, either canceled their bookings, failed to appear on their wedding day, or refused to refund payments for upcoming events. The business, owned by Eden Regula, advertised its services for wedding receptions, but numerous clients now report issues ranging from last-minute cancellations to a complete lack of communication after payments were made.

Samantha Boyer, Madison Mund, and Mariah Meier are among the brides who have come forward with their experiences. Madison Mund, who had booked Sip of Eden for her September wedding and paid $750, said she received a cancellation text on the morning of her wedding day. Her family quickly worked to secure alternative services for the celebration. Mund described being "in tears" due to the overwhelming situation. She later discovered a Facebook post from another bride detailing a similar experience, prompting her to share her own story.

Other brides like Samantha Boyer, who has a wedding scheduled for May 2027, sought clarity after learning of others' predicaments. Boyer reported that after reaching out to understand her own wedding's status, she believes she was blocked from communicating with the business via text and Facebook Messenger. Mariah Meier also reported she has not received any communication regarding her booking.

Before these issues emerged, Sip of Eden had built a presence on platforms like The Knot and the "Michigan Brides" page, often showcasing positive reviews. Mund and Boyer both mentioned the company's reputation as a reason they chose to book its services.

Brides who received cancellations reported various explanations from Eden Regula. Mund stated she was told of her father's passing, while others cited reasons such as a car accident or emergency surgery. However, one bride, Samantha Boyer, noted that Regula's father passed away in 2021 and that the alleged surgeries were untrue, as Regula was reportedly working at other weddings on those dates.

Following initial complaints, Madison Mund received a message claiming Regula was no longer the business owner and that a cease-and-desist order had been filed. More recently, a new post appeared on the Sip of Eden Facebook page, stating that another business had purchased the company.

Efforts to contact Eden Regula through email, text, call, and Instagram, including numbers previously used for bride communication, were unsuccessful. A visit to what was believed to be her residence also yielded no response, and the phone number associated with the business has reportedly been disconnected.

In a recent development, Bartenders Elite LLC has stated publicly that it has acquired Sip of Eden. A representative from Bartenders Elite LLC indicated that the company intends to honor contracts for brides who paid in full at no additional cost. For those who paid a deposit, the company stated it would cover the remaining balance. This announcement offers a potential path forward for the affected couples. Brides like Samantha Boyer expressed a desire for resolution and the return of their money.
